I wanted to share my love and appreciation for this beautiful Seiko Presage Classic: SPB465

After wearing an Apple Watch for most of my life, I was anxious about making this switch and losing the functionality.

My compromise: an automatic watch + a smart ring (for anyone interested: RingConn Gen 2 Air).

With my watch + ring setup, I can finally enjoy the greatness of an automatic watch while still keeping track of my vitals. Also, it is very freeing not to feel a vibration on your wrist every time a message comes in. What I have considered a great smartwatch feature actually stressed me out in the end. I love the newly gained versatility, the ability to pick different watches for different occasions, and regaining a ‚classic‘ style.

The watch itself is beautiful. The dial cannot be fully captured on camera — it really works well in any lighting. It also wears much smaller than the 40.2 mm would suggest. My wrist is on the thinner side, and it has not felt too big for even a second. It works great as an alrounder: Both during vacation while swimming and hiking, as well as on office days - the Seiko Presage is everything I was looking for.

For anyone who is on the verge of switching from a smartwatch to an automatic watch: do it! You won’t regret it!
