Is it crazy to transfer twice

Like the title says is it? For context I am 100% certain I am leaving my current school as it is not a right fit for me at all. As of now I’m only accepted into NYU and I’m not hopeful for the rest of my schools that have yet to come out. The thing is I don’t think I’ll love NYU. I know I will like it more than my current school, but I just don’t know if I want to spend three years in NYC. I would want to transfer again to a smaller school that actually has a real campus. Can someone give me advice or insight into this. Should I apply to transfer again or just stay at NYU. Obviously I’m going to wait until I get to NYU to see if I end up liking it so this is hypothetical, but if i don’t love it is it worth transferring and should I try and spend the whole year at NYU or try and spring transfer. And just to reiterate, I’m not knocking NYU until I try it, I’m just saying how I predict my experience going.

Ok so I might be looking into this too much and it probs means nothing but my school doesn’t do mid term reports. They only say either failing or ND (not deficient) I sent it my midterm with all NDs since that’s what my midterm said. Got an email asking for updated real grades since my midterm doesn’t have that. Does this mean I still have a chance?? I feel like if they were just going to reject me they wouldn’t care? Please someone tell me if I’m looking into this too far.
