R1250 GS Adventure. Went to go for a ride today and after starting the bike it initially idled ok, but then the revs dropped quickly and ran rough and eventually stalled. Restarted and tried riding but after maybe 50m I had this warning appear. I quickly turned around and went back. Google tells me it could be a few different things so need to take it in to BMW which is not an issue as it's still under used bike warranty. However, the bike is at least 1 hour away from the nearest BMW dealer and 90% of the roads there are 60/70 MPH. Question is what is like riding a bike that is in 'limp mode' Can you still ride at 70MPH but with limited acceleration? Some of the roads I need to ride are UK single carriageway roads so riding at 30/40mpsh would not be very comfortable or safe.

Hi - I am planning to meet my family for a vacation in early July and will be riding solo from Santander to Moraira and back again and looking for ideas of where to stay enroute. My ideas so far:

Day 1 - I arrive on the ferry from the UK around 13:00 so was thinking the first night in Vitoria. Day 2 - Finding some nice roads and perhaps staying in Teruel

Day 3 - Ride to Moraira to meet the family who arrive by plane

Days 4-10 - chillout and enjoy the family

Day 11 - Head back towards Santander perhaps stay on Soria?

Day 12 - Ride to Santander for 14:00 sailing back to UK

An thoughts on those towns/cities as stopovers? I will be looking to eat out in the evening so looking for hotels (ideally with secure motorcycle parking) within walking distance of places to eat on my own.

I will be doing the Plymouth-Santander crossing in July on a motorcycle and curious to know what disembarking will be like given passports need to be stamped. I did the crossing years ago (when UK was still in EU) and remember it being pretty quick, but it could be a real pain with lots of bikes having to shuffle along in a queue taking off helmets etc.
