I just received a job offer last week with a start date mid June. I have started my OPT application with my school and it will take approximately 10 business days. After that I can submit my application to USCIS and I plan to do the premium processing as well.
I am doubtful that my EAD card will arrive before my start date. I talked about this with my recruiter and it seems like they can't accommodate a start date later than what have discussed. I am suspecting that worst case scenario my offer would be rescinded, however it is written in the offer letter that I signed that: my start date will be June 15, 2026 but contingent upon approval of my visa.
Based on this, what should I do? Should I still worry about my offer letter being rescinded or my employer can't do that based on what's written in the offer letter?
