Recently tweaked lower back when loading bikes into small vehicle.
Main concern is adding / removing the bikes from a small hatchback w/ seats down since it requires a lot of reaching in the car, pulling, pushing, ultimately back strain, especially lower back. Current setup is back seats down on hatchback, cardboard, bike 1, thick foam (which increases friction), bike 2. Both bikes with front wheels removed.
Is there a way to do it sustainably without lower back injuries? Or is getting a hitch + bike rack the way to go? If so, what bike rack for a two bike setup (mountain bikes and / or road bikes and / or hybrid bikes)?
