I have a dilemma.
I am stuck between choosing Queen Mary or Nottingham for law at university. I have thought about this for so long and I can't make a decision. My other options being Exeter and York, but I'm mostly thinking Queen Mary vs Nottingham.
If I choose Queen Mary, I don't need to get a place of my own as I can just commute from home which will take me around 40 minutes. However, I do know people rave about it being in a bad location which is not really relevant to me. Queen Mary being in London would make it easier to attend law related stuff as they would mostly be held in London as opposed to Nottingham.
If I choose Nottingham, I'd have to move which could be nice considering I'd experience not living with family for once. However, this isn't that big of a factor but it would be nice.
I'm just stuck between what's the best given career prospects as I obviously want a job out of university. I did also see somewhere that Nottingham is stingy with giving out 1sts for law as well and that only 5% manage it. Then sometimes I see recruiters say they don't care that much for the university, only for 1sts. Basically, mixed opinions.
University life also matters to me but probably not as much as career prospects. I'd also be 21 when I begin which would put me in the mature students group so I'm wondering if my choice of university would affect my student life.
Basically, I'm not sure. I'd appreciate any advice as time is ticking.
