Hi everyone,

I’ve spent an unhealthy amount of time scanning the market, and I’ve narrowed my choices down to two very different contenders. I know they aren’t usually in the same conversation, but these are the only two models in my budget that I actually like visually (I’ve already ruled out the IKEA Markus and similar "staples").

Since I can’t test these in person, I’m looking for feedback from anyone who has lived with either of these chairs.

My Specs:

Height: 173 cm (~5'8")

Weight: 75 kg (~165 lbs)

Daily Usage: ~10 hours at the desk. However, I use a standing desk/treadmill, so I won't be seated for the full duration.

The Dilemma:

  1. Used Herman Miller Sayl: I love the design and the durability.

  2. New Sihoo Doro C300: It looks great on paper, but I’m having a massive problem distinguishing between genuine reviews and paid/sponsored content. I feel like I’m being marketed to every time I search for it, and it’s making me skeptical about the actual build quality.

The Catch: I’m "buying blind." Suggestions to "just go try them out" won't work for me unfortunately, as there are no showrooms nearby.

My Questions:

• For those around my height (5'8"), does the Sayl feel supportive enough for focused work, or does the backrest feel too short?

• Is the Sihoo Doro C300 actually a solid ergonomic chair, or is it just "influencer hype"?

• Between a used high-end "designer" chair and a new "budget-ergo" chair, which one holds up better for a 10-hour (mixed standing/sitting) workday?

Thanks in advance for the help!
