New bike (how to change QR wheels)

New bike (how to change QR wheels)

Just got my first road bike - a barely ridden xs triban rc120! It's got QR wheels which I want to change for insurance and security reasons to skewers which need hek lok special pin or just an allen key to take the wheels off. Can I go to a bike shop and purchase replacement skewers and do this myself? Added a pic of the bike to make this a slightly less dull post! I'm based in UK big city btw

Hello! I’m thinking about upgrading to a cheap road bike. I cycle to work about 8.7km on the flat 3x week (Brixton into central) then to the gym, pub etc. I got a Riverside 120 hybrid from decathlon 18 months ago which I’ve loved, but it’s got wide handlebars hard to manoeuvre around and as it’s quite heavy it can feel like a slog especially if it’s windy.

I’m wondering whether to upgrade to a cheap (likely used) road bike. My storage situation isn’t the most secure and my commute isn’t the longest so nothing fancy! Will it take a while to get used to drops? And any suggestions for something new or used on a budget? I’m only 5’2 and hate bikes which feel too big Or unstable so no aggressive road bikes!
