Found growing on my blocks of maple sugar.
What type of mold is this? I cut below where the mold was growing and dried it out. Will those parts still be okay to consume? Can the parts that had growth on them be boiled down to kill the growth and then be used? I had these put aside to add more smoke flavor to them before adding them to a smoky maple mead I'm in the process of making.
