do you guys think i should add something? I'm thinking of adding a little bunny tail
In Katseyes song Gnarly they mention three things: boba tea, tesla, and fried chicken. This is used to promote consumerism. I am pretty sure at the time Gnarly came out during the time Donald Trump was still in love with Elon Musk, so it makes sense that they would try to make Tesla seem gnarly. Boba tea is a popular drink that gained popularity from tiktok, so it is no shock to me that they are trying to make it popular again. And have you guys seen all the new chicken spots popping up like raising canes and daves hot chicken. It is no suprise that they mentioned fried chicken as Gnarly in the song. The government is definitely using Katseye to promote consumerism.
Today I was watching some documentaries and the LGBTQ+ and I started thinking about how people use the terms yoai and yuri. I have been reading/watching yaoi and yuri anime/manhwa for years so I guess I am pretty educated on it. Ever since Heated Rivarly has come out the word yuri and yaoi have been thrown around a lot. It really bothers me. Yaoi and yuri to me is just a fantasy, it does not truly encapsulate the struggles that the LGBTQ+ face. People I know and many people online, tend to see a gay couple just doing whatever and immediatly start saying "OMG YURI/YAOI!!!". My friend was watching Euphoria and she saw Rue and Jules just hugging or laying down together and she was like "OMG LOOK YURIIII". I don't understand why people feel the need to point out that they are gay or lesbian. No one points out every time that a straight couple embraces or just does whatever. I am apart of the LGBTQ+ and personally it makes me feel very alienated. Like I said before yuri/yaoi is basically fantasy, so when people call normal/realstic couples in shows or in real life yaoi or yuri, to me it seems like they are porjecting unwanted fantasies on to people who are just living their life. Imagine if everytime someone saw an autsistic person in real life or in movies they were like "OMG A AUTISTIC PERSON". That would be dumb and weird. I hate how normalized it is with gay people. I have also saw instances where there would just be a normal gay couple on social media and people in the comments would talk about how they are "fujoshing out". I don't think there is anything wrong with reading/watching yaoi or yuri, but projecting these fantasies onto people who you don't even know just because they are gay is weird.
