Hospital or home birth? Stress and cost?
So... I'm trying to get pregnant, and I really am excited to (eventually) have kids! However, giving birth TERRIFIES me! The cost also stresses me out. I'm worried about pain, but I'm leaning more towards natural pain coping skills instead of meds because I've also heard of a ton of things going wrong with that.
Anyways, that being said, I've considered doing an at home or at a birth center birth instead of at a hospital (particularly because I don't want to pay 50K to give birth, but also I get so stressed in hospital environments due to past experiences).
What have you all seen? Is the cost better for at-home/birth center births? Is it less stressful or better than a hospital birth? Just looking for some advice!
