Hi everyone,

I’m looking for recommendations for a provider in the Louisville area who is experienced with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and actually takes the time to listen and explain things.

I was recently diagnosed, but my experience with my gynecologist wasn’t great. I felt like I had to lead the entire conversation, ask all the questions myself, and I left still not fully understanding what’s going on with my body especially because I do not have the all of the 'common' symptoms of it.

For context:

  • I have very regular periods
  • I was told I may not be ovulating consistently
  • Ultrasound showed multiple follicles
  • My androgen levels are elevated, and my free testosterone is slightly high
  • Very little hair growth on body

I’m not looking to just be prescribed birth control, I really want a provider who looks at the hormonal and metabolic side and helps me understand the root cause.

I’m open to seeing an Endocrinologist or a different Gynecologist, and I’m also open to virtual options if they’re worth it.

If anyone has recommendations in or around Louisville, I would really appreciate it. Also open to hearing what made a provider a good fit for you. Or your experience with PCOS.

Thank you 🤍
