I moved into this house about a year ago and tried to deep clean these then. I used a wood cleaner and a scrub daddy intially and this orange-brown stuff got all over my sponge, was super sticky, and wouldn't come off the sponge. I can't tell if its some old wood finish or just years of caked on grease from this kitchen being neglected. I do ultimately plan on sanding and painting or at least retaining all the cabinets and doors, but don't currently have the time or resources for that. Idk how to clean these or how to tell if what I'm taking off is wood finish or grease. Also if anyone has tips for getting yellow grease off a white ceiling, lmk(i tried scrubbing it with 409 and it didn't work for the tougher spots)
