Honest accounts of ACRRM surgical AST — what does the operative experience actually look like day to day?

Considering ACRRM with surgical AST as a PGY4 with general registration. I’ve read the college website but want honest, unfiltered accounts from people who have actually done it or are currently doing it.

Specifically want to know:

How many theatre sessions per week realistically?

What cases are you actually doing vs assisting with?

How complex is the operative work in practice — is it predominantly skin and minor ops, or are you seeing real general surgical cases?

Do you need to go MMM5-7 to get meaningful surgical exposure, or is MMM4 enough?

How good is the supervision and teaching in practice?
