Do I actually need a social media va? I've been managing my brand's instagram, tiktok, and facebook myself. It's becoming a lot. Someone suggested that I hire a social media VA to handle scheduling and engagement but I built this brand's voice. I'm the one who knows what resonates with my audience. I'm worried if someone else manages it, it'll feel off. At the same time, I spend like 10 hours a week on the technical stuff.

I have some questions, appreciate your thoughts.

  1. Do social media VAs actually work for small brands? and if it does work, what do they actually do? do they manage the accounts or do they just schedule posts i write?
  2. Is there a middle ground where I stay creative but hand off the busy work?
  3. Anyone here done this successfully? Did your brand's voice change? Did the engagement go up or down?
