Need honest landscaping opinions before everything gets too established
I’ve never really gardened before and I think I may have trusted ChatGPT a little too confidently on plant placement/layout advice lol. I’ve now spent a ton of time and money on this front garden and I’m starting to panic that I’m going to regret how crowded everything might become in a few years.
I’m trying to create a lush, layered look — not minimalist — but I still want it to feel intentional and maintained, not chaotic or overgrown. I’m also now into the cottage or dainty vibes. I like bold big lush but tidy ?
Plants currently in the bed:
- (A Twombly red maple will be planted on the far left side)
- Guacamole hostas
- Incrediball hydrangeas
- Timeless Night coral bells
- 2 barberries (one at each end) the golden one will be poking out from behind the red Twombly for contrast, and the rose glow is on the far right to carry over the colour of the tree
- Wave petunias I plan to plant to fill the empty space for this season.
Would you relocate anything now while everything? Or does this look like it’ll grow in nicely together long term?
Be brutally honest please 😅
