Hi, I am a FTM to an almost 6 week old baby. She loves to nurse. Typically though she will close her eyes and intermittently suckle, sometimes I hear a swallow and other times I do not. I’m wondering if she’s actually asleep or just relaxed and taking her time? I’m not exactly sure. When I attempt to pull my nipple out, she will resist or search for it if it comes out. Same thing if it falls out. Occasionally she will pop it out herself and lay on my breast or the boppy and be asleep.

Does anyone else’s baby do this? How do you go about it? If I let her stay latched, she’ll stay for more than 30-45 minutes at times.
