The Undone Series by Peyton Corinne

So I just finished reading the third book in the Undone series, {Unbound by Peyton Corinne}, and I’m honestly quite shocked at how much I liked it. I seldom cry while reading books (I lowkey think last time I cried while reading was at one of the Harry Potter books?) but this book has me wanting to sob at 2 am.

The first two books in the series, {Unsteady by Peyton Corinne} and {Unloved by Peyton Corinne} felt very mid to me. Like the stories had a lot of potential but I felt the author’s writing was average. The writing felt bland and I didn’t feel there was as much depth to the emotions and situations as I would’ve liked. However, I wanted to read third book when it came out because I really wanted to read about Paloma. Reading this book felt like I was reading a whole different authors. The depth, the emotions, the conflicts were just sooo different and written so much better than the first 3 books.

TikTok raves about all three books but I feel that the third book isn’t comparable to the others. It’s so much better. And now I’m actually excited for October when the fourth book, {Undone by Peyton Corinne} comes out. I’m curious as to what anyone else who read the series feels!

Hi everyone! I’m an absolute sucker for a good series with found family and I need recs ASAP. I just finished my hardest semester of pharmacy school and I was soooo looking forward to doing nothing but reading but unfortunately the last 14ish books I’ve read have been 3 stars or below and it’s about to put me in a slump. My usual cure is a good interconnected series with found family so I’m hoping you guys have some recs!

Some series I absolutely loved include…
the Sparrow Falls series and the Lost and Found series by Catherine Cowles
DC Stars by Chelsea Curto
The Windy City series by Liz Tomforde
The Playing for Keeps series by Becka Mack (loved the found family but I had issues with some of the books lol)
The Powell Sanctuary series by AM Wilson

I’m not really picky trope wise. I don’t particularly enjoy second chance, accidental pregnancy, or third act breakups however I’m willing to read it all if the found family is strong. Thank you guys in advance! Looking forward to recs!

Hey everyone! I recently just finished the Melnikov Bratva series by Sonja Grey and she’s currently writing the second generation, the Devils Will Rise series. I usually don’t mind a second generation series. Like if the first series peaked my interest, I’ll read the second gen but for this series, I don’t know if I can. The first book in the Devils Will Rise has an MMC from the Melnikov series who gets with one of the MMC’s kids. I don’t usually mind an age gap romance but this one just doesn’t sit right with me ESPECIALLY because there’s a scene in the first series where the MMC is holding the FMC as a baby.

I’m curious to see how everyone else feels about second generation series. Are they automatic reads for you? Or do you tend to stay away? If you do like them, what are some series that did it right?
