Hi all, I was thinking of my recent upcoming trip and my last trip to Japan: I’ll try and keep this short, I have anxiety and level 2 autism, I can manage it by myself relatively easy and usually have no complications, I don’t get anxiety in crowded spaces so I’m typically ok in the streets and areas that would have that.

My last trip was with my father, I never left his side except to go to the local convenience store down the street from our hotel or we would split up in a shop to look around, but this trip I am going with another family member and am planning on doing semi-independent travel, wich I have not exactly done in a foreign country before.

(now I know from what I have heard is that Japan is quite a ableist country and doesn’t conform to the needs of people like me, and I don’t expect them to at all)

I was wondering if there were perhaps recourses that I could use? For example a website with recourses like specific phrases I need to tell people I have anxiety, or certain areas I could go to in an area to calm down?

I know it might be a pipe dream to find stuff like this, but I thought people here might have the best answers for me and other people who might need it, I’ve already tried to do my research but I’ve not gotten very far, but needless to say I’m very exited about this trip nonetheless!
