Hi everyone,
I’m trying to identify the category/type of connector used between the Nintendo Switch (or Switch 2) Joy‑Con and the console.

At first glance it looks similar to a mezzanine connector, but most mezzanine connectors I’ve found are rated for a relatively low number of mating cycles, which makes me think Nintendo is using something different or at least a specialized variant.

This connector also appears to be very easy to align and mate, even during sliding insertion, which suggests it may be designed specifically for frequent connect/disconnect cycles and some degree of misalignment tolerance.

Does anyone know what this type of connector is typically called, or what categories/manufacturers I should be looking at? Any insight into how these connectors are usually specified (cycle life, alignment features, etc.) would also be appreciated.

Thanks!
