Made every plant for my 1/35 Chernobyl diorama from scratch — paper, asparagus and natural roots

Hi everyone,

Here is the vegetation I used in the Chernobyl diorama, all handmade — small pine tree, ground plants, tall plants and a small flower. Materials used were paper, stabilised asparagus, natural roots and leaves from Model Scene for tall plants.

Thanks for looking — any feedback is appreciated. :-)

40 Years in The Zone — Chernobyl Diorama

Hi everyone, I am here again haha.

Here is the finished Chernobyl BRDM-2 diorama — 1/35 Trumpeter kit, fully scratchbuilt base with handmade paper vegetation, broken concrete slabs and curb, moss and static grass. Weathering done with hairspray chipping, oil paints and enamel effects.

The vehicle is based on real abandoned BRDM-2s still sitting in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. Tried to capture 40 years of decay and neglect as accurately as possible.

Thanks for looking — any feedback is appreciated. :-)

BRDM-2 – Chernobyl-inspired weathering project (1/35)

Hi everyone,

Here is BRDM-2, painted and weathered as an abandoned vehicle inspired by the Chernobyl exclusion zone.

The goal was to push a heavily weathered, long-term decay look — rust layers, faded and chipped paint and environmental staining, while keeping the vehicle structure readable. All weathering was done with acrylics, oils, and enamels in layered passes.

This is part of an ongoing diorama series focused on Chernobyl´s vehicle graveyard.

Thanks for looking — any feedback is appreciated. :-)
