On Wednesday this week, I went to pick a new 2026 I5 in Ecotronic Matte Grey SEL. Everything about it was great, the drive, the range fit my 100-mile round-trip commute, and the price was much like a hybrid Corolla otd with trade-in. As I was signing the final paperwork, they took it to a Tesla supercharger across the street. Then, at 30 miles on the car, the ICCU went.
So long story short, the dealership was great. They understood why I wouldn't trust this vehicle, so they gave me an amazing deal on a hybrid Sonata. Yeah, it's boring looking and to drive, but at least I don't have to worry about being stranded with my family on 115-degree days in the southwest. I do wish they would fix this issue, because I think it's one of the best EVs, once they figure out this ICCU issue.
