As you know, everybody is currently in knots over the hantavirus outbreak that occurred on that cruise ship…there has been so much fear mongering and misinformation being spread on social media about hantavirus(which I am usually vehemently against), but I can’t help feeling a little excited when the fear mongering is convincing people to start masking again. It’s a shame Covid wasn’t enough to get them to come to reason, but if they’ll start masking to avoid hantavirus I’ll take it. I want to make it very clear I’m not downplaying the seriousness of the situation, that being said, actual researchers who have studied this virus and many others have pointed out its poor pandemic potential. And I’m much more inclined to listen to them than “breaking news” influencers.
