I'm planning my first sourcing trip to Shenzhen in late June. The plan is to bring back a small batch of IT gadgets and tech products to test selling here — IT gadget, Not accessories (cables, chargers, ect...) you already find in Algeria.
From what I've learned so far, getting IT products into Algeria is the tricky part. Most companies either send them in personal luggage with travelers, or they ship via cargo with special authorization (which most don't have). I'd rather do this properly from the start instead of figuring it out the hard way.
What I'm looking for from anyone who's done this:
- Names of shipping/logistics companies you've personally used between China (Shenzhen/Guangzhou) and Algiers — both the good and the bad.
- Rough costs if you remember them (per kg air freight, customs clearance fees).
- Honest warnings — companies that lost shipments, scammed people, or had problems at Algerian customs.
- Anything you wish you'd known before your first import.
Your help is really appreciated, I'm just trying to learn from people who've already gone through this so I don't make expensive beginner mistakes.
