I’ve been a Dave Moody listener and fan for a long time now.  I’ve always respected him for his knowledge, humor, and tell it how it is style.

However, over the past couple months, I’ve lost a lot of respect and have found myself going from listening to his show every day on the way home from work, to listening only after race day.

I was listening today.  A caller called in and expressed his displeasure with Fox.  Dave asked for specific examples, the caller listed several, including the broadcast completely missing the 51 wreck, 77/21 wreck, and 23/42 wreck.

Dave then immediately says “OK” and hangs up on the caller, and said “Yeah I don’t believe him.  How would he know about those wrecks if Fox didn’t cover them? I’m just not taking anyone’s word for it”.

He acts as if the listener is stupid and doesn’t realize there are other channels of media covering the race such as the HBO driver in cams and other individual people at the race.

The guy refuses the address any criticism towards the coverage of the race, and doesn’t have the stones to go into an actual, detailed discussion with someone before getting them off the line, THEN expresses his “defense”.  This is just one of several incidents this season where he just blows off a caller criticizing the broadcast and resorts to some logical fallacy. 

Really miss when this dude had stones, hope he gets them back.
