Can taking a blood thinner make you unfit for duty?

Asking for a friend who is a merchant marine, so not me so I don’t have all the details right away. My friend was recently put on blood thinners. His primary care doctor cleared him, the cardiologist cleared him, the union doctor cleared him for duty, and also the coast guard cleared him but now the shipping company is saying he is a liability so they won’t take him back as it is a long voyage.

Does my friend not have a future in shipping anymore? Or are there shorter voyages or other companies out there that allow you to be on blood thinners? Or has my friend been wronged? This was a good job for him and he really wanted to keep it. According to my friend he has met other people on this exact medication and they are working on ships just fine.

Hi everybody I just wanted to ask what ya'll's experience is with Aspen Dental in Lubbock? I won't have dental insurance for a few months so I'm shopping for cheap but reliable dental care. I saw they have a deal for $29 xrays and exams for new patients.

I'm just a little hesitant to use Aspen since I hear that corporate dental practices can be a little predatory. I'm hoping the Lubbock location is different. Other recommendations for dental practices that are cheap and reliable are welcome as well!

I'm moving out of my apartment (to a new city) and most of the items are manageable to move by myself except for my couch. I'm trying to save money and just move everything by myself (except this couch). I just need it moved to my car and in my new place I'll have help to move the couch out of my car. I'm alone, don't have friends to help in the old city. It seems expensive just to hire pro movers for just this one task. Who can I contact just to move a couch going down one flight of stairs?
