Hi All!

I am a new hire (Electrical Engineer) at the Raytheon Tewksbury MA location, I was wondering if there are any group chats since I would love to connect with other new hires!

Thanks!

Hi all,

I recently quit my old job and found another job in a similar role which starts in 2 weeks with a promotion. At my old job, my manager constantly demoralized me and never gave me any challenging tasks since they had made some assumptions while talking to my old manager who didn't like me much. Fast forward, during my last week at the company, my manager told me I met expectations for all goals except one, which would result me being placed on a PIP. I did not know this when I had placed my resignation 2 weeks earlier.

From my review, it seemed some of the things my manager listed, I could definitely improve, but some other aspects, it seemed they were overexaggerated. It didn't list a single thing that I did well and my current manager didn't reach out to any reviewers who I worked with (my fellow engineers). Rather, my entire review was from my old manager who loved to micromanage, and despised me because I would talk back to him when he didn't let me join meetings on work that I HAD done. I actually even talked to people about my review, and they said I had done a great job and they never received a request for feedback.

I guess what I'm really trying to get at is I am currently having imposter syndrome, and I feel that I might not do a good job at my new workplace because I may have oversold myself. It has led to this anxiety that I might be placed on a PIP there too.

Has anyone gone through this? How did you guys go forward keeping in mind that you were going to be placed on a PIP? Is there any advice?
