Just wanted to share how good I am feeling! 23 years as a type 1 diabetic. Diagnosed Feb 2025 with CKD, PD dialysis started end of Nov 2025, officially on the transplant list 25th Feb 2026 and received the call April 1st 2026. Was in surgery that evening. A rough few days afterwards where I needed a second surgery due to a clot in the pancreas but home 8 days after the transplant and a month on I feel like I could run a marathon (i definitely could not run a marathon) but that's how good i feel. No more insulin or blood glucose checking and a healthy, well functioning kidney. Thanks for reading my spiel 😊
