What should I expect during the first week of a swe internship?

I’m starting my first software engineering internship soon at a late stage startup and was wondering what the first week is usually like. How much coding did you actually do in week one? What should I do to make a good first impression? Also if i have the option to do my first onboarding day remote or in person, does it matter what I choose?

No glaze but every other artist tries to be mysterious and deprive their fan base of music for 3-4 years to maximize album sales. What other artist is dropping 4 episodes , a collab album, and a solo album all within the span of a year and a half?

I recently got a software engineering internship at a pretty well-known startup, and I was really excited about it. The company itself is doing interesting work and I was hoping to get placed on a more customer-facing product team. I found out I’m placed on an internal operations/tools team instead of a customer-facing product team. The team works on an internal admin dashboard used by support/engineering to troubleshoot issues, manage customer configurations, handle access control, and run operational workflows.

Is this still considered good SWE internship experience, or does internal tooling look noticeably weaker than customer-facing product work on a resume?
