So I have an ecobee 3 running everything fine now and 5 room sensors . I have a single zone heater/ac unit. I also have two ecobee 3 lite thermostats just sitting in a box.

Is there any way to use these other 2 thermostats? Like as a room sensors and maybe remote control the main unit? I can figure out a way to power them, it's really about functionality and convenience since the main unit is not in a convenient area at all.

Searching around I just found people running multiple HVAC or zones...
