I was stupidly pruning the bottom leaves touching soil on a plant of mine without scissors peeled off about an inch or two of stem about an 1/8” thick. I then hilled that plant not thinking of possible diseases in could get in the damaged area.

Are there any real chances of the plant dying off? It’s my most healthy one and I’d be devastated to lose it!
