Couldn't decide which version of the game to "main" so currently I'm playing both version to make a decision. Just finished recruiting Tomahawkman/Napalman couldn't help but notice that the story makes way more sense playing team Colonel.

1. Mine incident

Colonel: Princess Pride tried digging for magnometals but instead it made Knightman berserk so Lan had to fight Knightman to return him to his senses. Pride joins the team because it's the noble thing to do as royalty.

Protoman: Tesla trying to relieve her stress by drill mining? She doesn't care if Lan's friends dies in the process and made Lan himself stop all 4 drill comps even though she have the control to immediately stop it. Tesla joins the team because why not and Lan for some reason didn't have any grudge or complaints about her attempted murder of his friends.

2. Meeting Gyroman/Shadowman's operator

When Lan first met the the operator for Gyroman/Shademan Lan was immediately on guard and accuses them of being a nebula operator. Lan's reaction makes much more sense if your playing team Colonel since Dusk looks menacing meanwhile Charlie looks friendly.

3. After Megaman got kidnapped and Lan's was asked to meet at the harbor

Colonel: Baryl made a speech first about looking at the ocean makes him feel like his problems are smaller. Tried to empathize about Lan's current situation getting both his father and megaman being kidnapped then offered a replacement navi to continue the fight. Lan complains about "not wanting to operate anyone other than megaman" then gets slapped so that he comes to his senses. Baryl then says that due to Nebula alot of people are suffering and some even worse than Lan which ties in to his earlier speech about the ocean.

Protoman: Meanwhile Chaud is way to blunt the whole time and didn't even try to empathize. Straight to the point Chaud wants to talk about the next operation, Lan's gets angry since megaman just got kidnapped. Chaud says he have a replacement navi ready and if he refuses he told Lan to get off the team then gets punched.

4. Tomahawkman/Naplman's operator's motivation

Colonel: Dingo stole the booster since it's production destroyed his village. Protesting doesn't work so he resorted to force and stealing. After defeat, Colonel offered to join his team and get clout for helping save the internet which in turn will put more weight into his future protests.

Protoman: Fyrefox stole the booster to make better fireworks. After defeat, Fyrefox asked to join the team so they could get more inspiration for their fireworks.

So far the story is way better playing team Colonel. Can't wait to see if it gets reversed with the next part because from what I know the next navi to recruit is Numberman and Searchman.
