Best practice exam that actually reflects the real NHA CCMA? Mometrix missed the mark
Hi again! You all have been so helpful so I wanted to come back with another question.
I just took the free 60 question Mometrix practice exam as a cold baseline and honestly felt like it was not representative of what the NHA says is actually on the exam. A lot of the questions felt like they were about infant development, Maslow's hierarchy, and laws, which based on NHA's own breakdown should make up a really small portion of the test. Clinical Patient Care alone is 56% of the exam and I barely felt like that was reflected.
For reference the official NHA breakdown is:
- Clinical Patient Care (56%) covering general patient care, infection control, phlebotomy, EKG, and lab procedures
- Foundational Knowledge and Basic Science (10%)
- Anatomy and Physiology (5%)
- Patient Care Coordination and Education (8%)
- Administrative Assisting (8%)
- Communication and Customer Service (8%)
- Medical Law and Ethics (5%)
I have also heard from people on here that the NHA's own official practice exam is surprisingly not a great reflection of what actually shows up on the real test either, which makes finding a good baseline even harder.
So my question is, what practice exam do you think is the most accurate and similar to what you actually saw on the real NHA CCMA exam in 2025 or 2026? I want something that will give me a true baseline of where I stand, especially in the clinical sections. Free is ideal but I am open to hearing what people think is worth paying for too. Thank you so much!
