Too much communication?
My 3 year old just started preschool a couple of months ago and was seemingly doing fine for the first 6 weeks. A few weeks ago my daughter switched teachers and the new teacher is sending me daily updates daily about how she doesn’t like transitioning to new activities, consistently says “no!” If she’s having fun and doesn’t want to move to the next thing. The update is quite direct and brash- never anything kind about my kid or actions that I can follow through at home. I work a highly stressful job and these updates that frankly just come off as complaining, are starting to get to me. We are working on transitions at home (setting a timer, modeling out the day before school, etc) and also met with the teacher live. When we go to pick up her at the end of the school day, her teacher helper always says what a great day she had. I’m just getting mixed messaging. Is it okay if I ask that she sends me end of week updates vs daily?
