well UNITA at some point have almost won the civil war at some point and they almost made an agreement with MPLA about over bicesse and lusaka but it fell through as MPLA refused to truly share power and had international recognition and control over the state and they stayed in civil war until savimbi have dead

well if case UNITA Have won the civil war,would angola ended up suffer the same fate as uganda in 70s or maybe south africa in 80s
