My first Ronda 515 mod
This one had took a long time to fully complete but was a fun challenge. Overall, love the look, just wished the date wheel aligned a bit better but couldn't really figure out a way to resolve that. Found this out the hard way but the NH35 date wheel stickers you can get on Ali won't work because the 515 date wheel rotates in the opposite direction to the nh35, telling you now in case you have the same idea.
List of things done to complete this one:
Replaced the butterfly clasp - had to drill the end lugs out to fit spring bars, was surprisingly easy and I'll probably do that to any other butterfly clasp I come across haha.
Filed down the chapter ring to fit the case using a custom drill bit I 3D printed.
Painstakingly modelled and 3d printed a spacer to fit the 515 and dial into this case - the standard 33mm 515 spacer found on AliX was rubbish and left lots of room.
Replaced the crystal with a flat sapphire one (33mm) - might change again in time if I can find a nice double dome or box dome sapphire crystal that isn't super expensive.
