I’m gonna get downvoted to hell I know. I don’t know where to post this and I feel like the pro choice subreddit isn’t the right place for this. But recently I keep seeing people online saying that it’s “unethical” to have disabled children, or to have children if you have a genetic disorder. I could not disagree more. They argue that it’s due to “suffering”, but where does the line for that start? It’s all subjective, which is why I think it should be up to the parents. With this logic, depression causes suffering, so if you’re diagnosed with depression you shouldn’t have kids?? Policing people having disabled kids is encroaching on eugenics and it makes me sick to my stomach. I don’t know. I would love to hear other viewpoints. I don’t really know where I stand.
