Profile Evaluation (Extremely Weak Case)
I recently requested profile evaluation from a few law firms and here are what they offered.
- Chen (wegreened): $8000 approval or unlimited refiling.
- Ellis Porter: $6000 approval or one refiling.
- Robinson: $6000 approval or refiling; $11000 approval or refund.
My profile:
PhD student in applied mathematics with a M.S. in math. 3 publications (I'm the first author for 2 of them), 3 citations, 0 review, 0 patent.
I am leaning towards Chen because they are the only firm that asked detailed questions before give me an offer and it seems they are more experienced in academic background. My concern is that Chen quoted me for a higher than usual price and they wouldn't budge on that price. Does this mean my case is more tricky than usual? In my field, the peer review process can easily take a year, so it's unlikely for me a whole bunch of papers/citations in the near future. Should I wait till I have more papers or start filing now?
