Hello, I just want to know if there are other ppl that have a 16 year old (elderly) small dog that has issues with going out in the sun because of twitching/ convulsing?

My 10 lbs chihuahua loves the sun and he can’t sun tan anymore lol. We got him the little doggy goggle sunglasses, tried several types, and he’s just very stubborn and he tries to take them off. He’s not a chill Chihuahua, which I don’t know many that are lol I take him on walks at sunset now or at night time but I’m just curious if anyone is dealing with the same thing. His eyes don’t dilate.

16 year old chihuahua has colitis and vet has gave us meloxidyl for years to give him when he has a flare up and his stomach hurts. But I just read that medicine is actually for joint pain and can make gastrointestinal issues worse?

Male
10lbs
Neutered
Had colitis since he was a baby due to worms
Eats medicated, WD food from vet office his whole life
For years now the vet has prescribed him meloxidyl for his colitis flare ups and we give it to him RARELY when he has a couple SMALL bites of human food such as turkey or a nickel size of peanut butter.
