Our goddaughter’s First Communion is this weekend, and we’re not really catholic and/or religious. Where can I get a First Communion gift locally? I know there’s that catholic book store over on Carrollton by that monastery over there? But where else that doesn’t have typical, everyday stuff (we went through this with her baptism too)? Ideally, i would love to support a local artist/maker and get something handmade, but I don’t know what the religious makers market is like here in NO…

Also, any suggestions on really unique or nice gifts? I mean, a girl can only have so many crucifix necklaces and rosaries, right? Any other cute ideas?
