I traveled to the U.S. in December 2023 for almost 20 days using ESTA. After that, I was denied a J-1 visa twice under 214(b) about two years ago. Now I’m wondering whether I should try applying for ESTA again first or apply directly for a B1/B2 visa. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Which option would make more sense?
