My Tier List and some words about it
I've never done one of these, and have always sort of hated seeing them posted here. But I saw a couple of them last week and, for better or for worse, got interested. I started working on my own out of morbid curiosity and found that it was much more difficult for me to make this tier list than I thought it would be.
I started listening to the Weez when I was about 6 or 7 and heard the Sweater Song on the TV when my cousin was watching VH1 or something. I didn't really consider myself a "fan" until I saw the Perfect Situation video on Fuse when I was a teenager. I immediately began to listen to Blue and Green and Make Believe and loved them. Then got into Pinkerton and Maladroit, and by that time Red came out and I have been a Fan Club Member since 2018 (maybe 2017).
Since Hurley came out, I have had a bit of Weezy shellshock. To me it just felt like such a cheesy low-effort record when it came out, and I became one of those "Weezer fans that hate Weezer" that we all know and love. I am pretty much out of that and now just get excited for any new Weezer or Weezer-related material that I can find.
Since then, I have continually gone through this thing with new Weezer material: "I don't really like it > its been a year or so, I'll give it a listen again > I like this now, I will defend it on r/weezer ".
