When running motor loads like water pumps or AC units, I’ve noticed that startup surges can sometimes trip the inverter, cause voltage dips, or just be handled inconsistently depending on the inverter. I’m trying to understand how much extra capacity (headroom) an inverter should have to handle these surges properly, and whether some hybrid inverters are better designed for motor startups than others. I’m also curious if higher PV input voltage helps stabilize or reduce the impact of these surges. Would appreciate insights from anyone with experience on this.
