Cows, as far as I can tell from my observations, mainly eat grass. Maybe corn based feed. And they’re moving around a lot. If I did that, I would be so skinny.
Yet cow meat has some of the highest fat content of any meat. And their milk has a ton of fat in it too. How is greenery sustaining such a big animal, and allowing it to have so much fat to spare?? Like how do we go from grass to greasy meatballs, steak, and ice cream?
I have also eaten elk and bison, which also live on grass I think. Similar lifestyle to a cow. But there’s no fat to be found in those meats.
With pigs it makes sense. With cows, not really.
