Hi! Looking to see if I can hire someone to do my social media video editing preferably someone overseas since I’m just starting out

Hi! I’m planning to start an in-home daycare and would love advice from anyone who’s done this before.

I’m currently deciding between buying a duplex (living on one side and running the daycare on the other) or buying a home with a separate basement entrance for the daycare space. I don’t have the property yet, so I’m trying to plan ahead and understand what makes the most sense long-term. I may be able to get my mom to help with the business as well.

A few things I’m hoping to get insight on:

What were your actual startup costs (excluding the home)?

What worked best for getting your first clients?

How much does location impact success?

Do any of you offer transportation (picking kids up), and is it worth it?

Anything you wish you knew before starting?

How much can I expect to make? My goal is 200k plus maybe having 2 weeks of vacation a year to take if possible?

I’m especially interested in hearing from people who started small and grew over time.
