Issues with SQE2 exams

Am I the only one who finds the SQE2 exam format incredibly confusing in relation to how some people pass and others don't, as well as being really fit for purpose?

Sometimes you get the impression that candidates find it an easy exam to pass, and put it down to skills bumping up their mark, whilst other candidates (including myself) find it the most difficult exam they've ever done? With SQE1, it seems there is a far more accessible route to pass (course providers issuing loads of MCQs) but in SQE2 there is so much that can go wrong (difficult interviewee, running out of time, narrower topic selection).

Adding to this, there is just no way a partner would send you eight articles on a topic you have no idea about and give you an hour to give detailed advice, and then expect you to draft an important client document seconds later .... having gone through GDL and SQE1, I cannot understand how anyone could think this is the one of the easier exams to pass ...

Aware that no one is going to glorify exams, but I'm really questioning how this exam is truly useful for a legal sector being dominated by AI

realised that the question for legal writing day 1 offered us two options to write about, and I chose the wrong one. Will this mean that I get a straight 0 in the law?
