I started working at McDonald’s a few weeks ago and I’ve had like 5 shifts so far… and I genuinely feel like I suck at this job.

I freeze during rush hours. My brain just stops working. I can’t even pack orders properly without second-guessing everything. Meanwhile everyone else is moving fast like it’s second nature.

They usually put me on Uber orders (probably because I’m slow lol), but even there I feel behind. I keep thinking I should be faster, more efficient, less confused… but I’m just not there yet.

The worst part is I’m very aware of all of this while it’s happening. Like I know I’m messing up in real time, which somehow makes it worse.

I’m honestly surprised I even get one shift a week.

Does it actually get better with time? Or am I just not built for this kind of fast-paced work?
