I am final year Theoretical physics PhD student. I have realised that getting a postdoc and job is very difficult as compared to a decade back. So considering the possibility of not getting a postdoc, I want to know about what job opportunities exist outside academia.

I work in cond mat mostly with numerics, cause in my field analytically tractability is almost none. I would say I am pretty good with numerics not the best, and have learned a lot of techniques around. I have also learned machine learning which was just for fun, and also have currently a project of my own going which applies ML to my field.

So realistically what job opportunities do you think is good?. Thank you
