What to expect with payment plan change?
Like everyone else, I’m expecting to be forced into a new payment plan come summer. Currently in SAVE and hoping to get back on IBR, but my salary has more than doubled since my last income recertification in 2021. However, my AGI remains about the same as all my additional income is funneled into pre-tax accounts.
This brings me to my question: is repayment based on total taxable income or AGI only?
ETA: I do have a buyback request in for 10 months that I submitted in June, just not expecting it to be approved ahead of the switch.
