I would just like to preface this: I an absolutely horrible at vocal mixing, it’s something I’m still working on.
Anyways, I’m working with a couple of artists right now for a few songs. The vocals they sent sound fine by itself not much I have to do minus basic EQ/compress saturate. It sounds good.
My problem is there are sections I really want some harmonies in, I.e the hook. But I suck at the concept of it. I’ve tried plugins and stuff, pitched it down an octave but it doesnt sound good enough at all. Unfortunately we’re in a situation where we can’t go record some harmonies, I don’t mind leaving it out but it would be nice if I could figure out how to do it.
I was thinking maybe I could use something like waves doubler on a send track and mix in it but not sure.
